Thick and cakey chocolate chip cookies?

Can anyone direct me or give me a recipe for chocolate chip cookies that are really thick, soft and chewy? Everytime I make them they come out flat or just slightly raised. I dont know if it is the recipes or the temp of my oven. My mom used to make cookies like this when I was young and I want to make them for my kids. Help!
