I used to be a very good sprinter but i feel like im losing my ability, how can i retain/rebuild it?

Basically i've been inactive for long enough so that im worried that if i were try to do sprints again my speed wouldn't be where it once was? Im not worried about being able to run long distances because i can just run normally for those. So is there any way that i can rebuild my speed? Like how can i train to do this?
