Using Bulb Syringe? Someone PLEASE Help ME?

i got myself a bulb syringe since i cannot blow my nose and i do not want to pick my nose either. i have a sensitive nose and thats the reason why i got this for in order to suck out the boogers. but the thing is i squeezed the bulb and then sticked it inside my nose but i cant really feel no suction..how can i use this so it will work??
