History help please!?

Communist China aided the north koreans in Oct 1950 and committed nearly a million troops to the war. They impressively moved their whole army in total secrecy by moving only when it was dark and remaining camouflaged. This achieved complete surprise and the UN soldiers were caught off guard when they launched their first attacks. It wasn't until the end of November that the UN realised that China was fully inverting in the war.
